I guess it’s about that time of year again, the time where Harrison Ford climbs out of his gold-plated Millennium Falcon replica and back into the movie spotlight. This time, he’s stepped in along side Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) in “Cowboys & Aliens”.
To start off with I had mixed feelings about the movie. With a movie whose title was as thought out as “Snakes on a Plane” I was concerned with the performance being about the same. However, when the movie started with a strict “Daniel-Craig-punches-everyone-he-doesn’t-know-in-the-face-to-say-hello… policy” I was thoroughly satisfied. Craig, as expected, kept up his badass reputation throughout the entire film. Speaking softly and carrying a big stick, which in this case is an alien wrist cannon. In my opinion he has perfected the humble killer role, with a fierce stink eye at his arsenal.
In addition, it was nice to see Paul Dano in another role. For those of you who don’t recognize the name, he was the one being mercilessly beaten by Daniel Day Lewis at the end of “There Will Be Blood”.
For anyone who was a fan of Craig in Casino Royale you’ll definitely want to go check out this film when it opens on Friday. The plot might have a few holes here and there but for overall experience I would definitely say that the show is worth the price of a ticket.
