The Road: Day 37

“Writing and travel broaden your ass if not your mind and I like to write standing up.” -Ernest Hemmingway

Wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.  I’m not sure how that would work on the but, which is where I’m currently writing this from.  It’s a lot more reasonable when it’s a nice day outside.  I don’t even mind the couple hours between Portland and The Dalles and I can usually pass out for the remainder of the trip.  We just passed Multnomah Falls, great place to check out, but try and go when the mist from the falls isn’t condensing and freezing on the stone path winding it’s way up the mountain.  Our family made that mistake.  Mixing waterfalls, narrow paths, and….ice, I guess, doesn’t quite work.  Moving on.

The geese have begun recruiting.

Needless to say, I’ve notched the security level to GooseCon 3.  This means war.
