The Road: Day 29

“Success is how high you bounce when you hit rock bottom.”  -George S. Patton

By no means have we hit rock bottom, but it’s a good quote so I figured I’d throw it in here anyways.  Not much to say about Friday’s result.  Obviously a different outcome would’ve been nice but we weren’t going to sweep the series anyway.  It should be interesting going into Sunday’s game what kind of differences are made in game play.  Moving on.

Thanks to a little help from a friend I don’t think my goose issue will be around for much longer.

The gaping hole in the earth outside my back door might pose a new one though.

For the last week or so now, the female goose has been nesting in the same spot and (thanks to Google) I know that the gestation period for the Canada goose is between 25 and 30 days.  Recently, I’ve been entertaining the thought of ‘adopting’ a gosling if I get the chance.  Or, in the more likely chance of accidentally giving the both of them a heart attack, am forced to become a surrogate goose parent.  Picture “Fly Away Home” where, instead of flying south, I teach them all how carry out various chores around the house.  Comment below what their five names should be.

Or become a mojito-toting barber shop quartet

Hopefully we’re still around when they hatch.  And don’t worry about taking them back across the border, I’m going to stick with the “seeing eye goose” argument.  One last thing.

Easter Sunday is tomorrow.  The celebration of the resurrection of our Lord.  Celebrated by painting (rabbit?) eggs and then eating chocolate idols of them.  Go figure.
