The Road: Day 21-23

“Slow night, so long.” -Kings of Leon

A number of things happen when I get over-confident.  I usually embarrass myself in some kind of way, then have to offer up a less then genuine apology for it.  This time, in my over-confident state Friday night, I managed to only pack my toothbrush and toothpaste for the slim chance that we were going to lose that night and have to leave immediately after the game.  We ended up losing in overtime after missing a number of golden opportunities.  Unfortunately, that meant I was without a laptop for the last two days as well.   So I am sorry if you were disappointed by coming back to the blog a few days and seeing the same post every time.

On the brighter side of things, we did win last night and are now on our way to the conference finals.  The other series hasn’t finished yet, so we don’t know our next opponent.  With winning came a 9 hour bus trip so i haven’t gotten any sleep yet, and it is 6:12 as I write this sentence.  The ironic thing is, I had more traffic on the way home this morning than I’ve had coming home from any of our 7:00 games.

There’ll be more up later in the day.

You guys played with grit and determination last night.. Get some well deserved rest and write when you can.

In that situation, its probably better to be overconfident than to go the other way, which could turn into a self fulfilling prophecy.
